Privacy Notice
Under the Data Protection Act 2018, you have a right to know how we collect and use information about you/your your child, so that you can be confident that your privacy is protected.
Inclusive Psychology aims to be clear about how we process all personal data you share lawfully, respectfully and in a transparent manner. We commit to collect, store and if necessary, share your data securely.
You may request a copy of your data at any time. If you believe any of the personal data held on you/your young person is inaccurate or incomplete, you can contact us directly and any necessary corrections to your data will be made. You can also ask for your data to be deleted.
Why do we need your data?
The information being collected and used by Inclusive Psychology Educational Psychology Service is required for relevant note keeping purposes, and to inform advice, consultation and planning.
We will only collect information from you that is relevant for the process of providing the psychological services that you have requested.
What sort of data do we collect?
The personal data we are collecting might include you and your young person's name and address, date of birth, school history, family, medical and health information. It is also helpful to receive information from your young person’s school and other professionals that have been involved.
In order for us to collect and use your information, we require your written consent. Where you have provided consent to use your data, you have a right to withdraw this consent at any time.
How do we keep your data safe?
All data will be stored securely.
All data expect the information on consent forms, reports and invoices will be anonymised.
Electronic information will be stored in password protected files. Parents and schools are advised to send personal data password protected or by using an encrypted email service, such as Egress.
Paper records will be kept in a secure locked filing cabinet.
When the information is carried, the paper file will be kept in a travel bag. This bag will not be left overnight in a vehicle. During school visits, paper files will be kept on person, or locked in a room.
Information will be kept for 6 months following the end of work undertaken and then destroyed by shredding, or deleted.
If you believe we should erase your data, please contact us directly.
Will the data be shared?
Information will only be shared with anyone else if you give consent for this or if there are safeguarding issues which require the information to be shared for the safety and well being of the individual.
We take your privacy seriously, and would like to know about your concerns so that we can address them as soon as possible so please get in touch to discuss.
